Artillume is a collaborative space for experimental new media arts, a vibrant platform for facilitating the assimilation and convergence of the creative energy of all creative and trans-disciplinary new media artists and practitioners at one place. This allows new ideas to incubate and culminate into possibilities with commercial output.

The convergence takes the form of collaborations, conferences, art meet-ups, workshops and seminars, through which we introduce students, emerging artists, and practitioners to this extended new media community, and celebrate the growth of experimental new media arts.

Collective consciousness

In a world defined by E – ecstasy, exclusivity and e-enabled everything, we can all feel like tiny specs, digits, lost in the anonymity of a digital world. And that is when we need to band together purposefully and publicly, to emerge from the singular, atomised spaces we inhabit to a unified whole. We need art and public spaces to provoke us and remind us that the earth, the biggest E word there is, only works as a collective.

Where did we come from, where are we going to, only become clear when we are on a continuum and we can see ourselves more from the dark to the light. Not one birth in a lifetime but the constant birth in every minute, a billion people and a billion possibilities emerging from one infinitesimal moment to the next. We all eventually emerge from somewhere and go someplace. But what makes it interesting is the journey we take and the way we influence each other as we live out our dreams.

This showcase is a public expression of this journey into the making of a collective consciousness. It is a celebration of the spirit of unity, of the great big churn. That is the place where differences die. We gather courage to change our world, make it a better place only when we merge as one.

• ONLY original works/ideas representing the artist's own production should be submitted latest by January 20, 2020. Plagiarised entries will summarily be rejected.
• The submissions are ABSOLUTELY FREE!
• We accept proposals from both solo artists and curated/collective group.
• Shortlisted entries will be FULLY FUNDED FOR FABRICATION AND SHOWCASE by Artillume.
• Artillume may also request the shortlisted artists to submit thematic or location specific creations, and apart from the existing artwork, the artists may choose to work on fresh ideas for this showcase.

1. All artists should submit their proposals online as a PDF file not exceeding 2MB. In case your document size is greater than 2mb you can send us the document through Wetransfer to the following email id: Info@artillume.org. It must contain a brief plan or outline of the proposed exhibition or project (e.g. not more than 1000 words), along with an estimated bill of materials (EBoM).
2. The PDF file:
   • Should be named/labelled to highlight the Artist(s) full name(s) and the category to which his/her submission belongs. For example: John_Light installation, Ramesh_Immersive, Cathy_Projection-Mapping, etc.
   • Should include the Artist(s) full contact information i.e. complete postal address, phone number, and email.
   • Should include any or all images within the body of the PDF document(Sketches/ 3D Models/ Installations/ Video Snippets).
   • Can include both supporting images and images of past work, including captions describing it.
   • Can include links to websites, video hosting services (YouTube/Vimeo) as well as links to galleries, previous exhibitions, and/or past reviews.
